Human Rights Support Society-HRSS has organized a training session on UN Human Rights Mechanism with collaboration and support from the UN Resident Coordinator’s office, Bangladesh.
Ms. Huma Khan, Senior Human Rights Adviser at the UN, delivered the welcome remarks, and Zahid Hossain, Human Rights Officer at UN, provided an overview of UN Human Rights mechanisms.
At the later part of the training Gihan Indraguptha, Human Rights Officer, OHCHR, Geneva joined the session to share his knowledge about special procedures and human rights defenders. The event saw participation from twenty-five young human rights defenders who work at the grassroots level to promote and protect human rights. The trainees were the young volunteers of Human Rights Support Society. Ijajul Islam, Executive Director, Human Rights Support Society wrapped up the program with his concluding remarks.
