A school owner was arrested on Thursday night allegedly for raping a class-V female student and sexually abusing six other students in Savar. Reports Daily Star.
The arrestee Amir Hossen, 35, of Narsingdi is also the headmaster of the Amir Day Care Model School of Ashulia.
Amir raped the girl around a week ago and she disclosed the matter to her mother on Thursday evening.
Following a complaint filed by the victim’s family, police arrested Amir at his house in Kurgon area on that night, said Mohoshinul Kadir, officer-in-charge of Ashulia Police Station.
Amir also sexually abused six other students of the school at different times, said the OC, adding a case was filed against Amir yesterday in this regard.
In Faridpur, a class-VIII female student was allegedly raped on Thursday night by a youth in Dop Atok village under Sadarpur upazila for refusing his love proposal.
Victim’s father filed a case yesterday against the youth, Bubu Kazi, 23, of the village.
Bubu along with Faruk Munshi, 18, and Shakhaot Kazi, 22, of the village swooped on the girl after she came outside home to respond to nature’s call around 9:00pm. Later, Babu raped her after taking her to a nearby house, said victim’s family members.
Office-in-Charge of Sadarpur Police Station Harun-ar-Roshid said the three went into hiding following the incident.
