HRSS organized a staff training program.

During the initial day, staff revisited their conceptual understanding of human rights, aligning themselves with the cause they work for.

Md Nur Khan Liton, Advisor at HRSS, addressed the current human rights conditions in Bangladesh during the first session, highlighting the pivotal role human rights defenders play in the prevailing circumstances. In the second session, Ijajul Islam, Program Officer at HRSS, provided a detailed overview of project activities, explaining various strategies for their successful execution.

 

On the subsequent day, Md Fakrul Islam, the Accountant, discussed expenditure rules and procedures, emphasizing adherence to procurement policies for asset purchases. Following this, Md. Saiful Islam, Investigation Officer, conducted a session on the fundamentals of fact-finding and investigation. MD. Saneequdrat Saqee, Program Officer conducted another session on the project activities and effective execution of training programs. The final session, led by Md. Abdul Kadir, Documentation Officer at HRSS, focused on detailed training for new recruits on documenting human rights violation cases. Finally, Ijajul Islam, Executive Director, HRSS, ended the program with a closing speech.
